Most plugins are intended to be used in a "stereo" configuration. In the case of a compressor, this guarantees that the left and right signal are processed with the same gain reduction; and therefore the image doesn't shift left or right when the processing occurs.
However, it is sometimes desired to use an EQ or other processor in "dual mono" configuration where each channel is processed separately.
1) Add 2 of the desired plugins ( one above the other )
2) Right-click on the first (upper) plugin and click "pin connections" ... then connect the left channel thru the plugin, and route the right-channel to "bypass" it entirely.
3) Use "pin connections on the second (lower) plugin, and route the right signal through the plugin, while the left side bypasses it entirely.
